With the intensity on modern life, we can easily become disconnected. Sunita offers a half day escape with her, for you connect. The teaching combines an Ayurvedic consultation and meditation session using props to support the body in positions of comfort and ease. Sunita guides you to explore your own stillness and silence. The meditation session follows with a 1.15-hr Tri-Dosha facial or Ayurvedic massage session to enable you to de-stress, progressing to restoration and deep rest. The escape includes a light Ayurvedic lunch.

Experience Ayurveda at home. Discover the secrets of inner health and harmony within the comfort and convenience of Sunita’s own home, for balancing mind, body and soul. Sunita warmly invites you to take advantage of her expertise and encourages you to take the first steps for reducing stress and achieving a healthier, happier lifestyle by participating in one of her Ayurveda retreat programmes. Your personally tailored treatment plan will include: Ayurveda consultation; 1-2-1 yoga; guided meditation; Ayurvedic treatments; natural facials; workshops with partner facilitators; organic and seasonal food.

Sunita’s programme is conducted over 8 weeks and is aimed at busy people. The first 2-hr consultation is in person where Sunita will show you a handful of meditation and breathing exercises you can use to soothe your mind and increase your energy levels, health and enjoyment of life. These secrets are simple and yet tremendously powerful with potentially life-changing effects. The following 7 weekly 45-min sessions are via Skype. In between you will have some homework!

Treatments for the body 


 

Head/neck/arm treatment (shirobhyanga)

Tri-Dosha head/neck/arm massage: A deeply therapeutic caring treatment designed to nourish the scalp, and wash away tensions associated with migraine, headache and neck stiffness. Begin with warm dosha specific oils poured into your hair, aiding the nourishment of roots. Whilst the indigenous herbs calm and revitalise the spirit, ancient massage techniques allow your body to surrender and enhance overall equilibrium.

Good for: stress; strain; migraine; hair condition.

Duration: 30 minutes.

 

Full body with vital [marma] points (marma abhyanga)

Tri-Dosha energy flow oil massage: An ancient therapy combining pressure to specific vital (marma) points all over the body and yogic stretches of all joints. The massage manipulates healthy flow of energy through the body’s junctions and nadis (pathways and channels), and delivery is personalised according to your needs.

Good for: relaxation, detoxification, fatigue, anxiety, nourishment to skin.

Duration: 60 minutes.

 

Lower leg & foot treatment (padabhyanga)

Tri-Dosha lower leg and foot massage: Relax, revitalise and reconnect with padabhyanga – Tri-Dosha’s Ayurvedic alternative to reflexology. Combining deeply therapeutic techniques to release energy blockages, improve circulation and restore tired calf muscles, the body feels eased and energised. In addition, the soles of the feet are cleansed and nourished. Beautiful as a preventative monthly maintenance therapy against the stresses of the modern world.

Good for: relaxation, vitality, blood circulation, mums-to-be, after a flight.

Duration: 30 minutes.

 

Face massage with vital [marma] points (mukhabhyanga)

Tri-Dosha mukhabhyanga: Working on your face, neck and head, mukhabhyanga is a remedial therapy where firm pressure lifts facial muscles, leaving a youthful and vibrant glow. Achieve a visible radiance with the use of ancient methods. By massaging vital (marma) points, the movements increase energy flow; stimulate blood flow and collagen, which helps to reduce problem lines.

Good for: physical and mental wellness (sattva), anti-ageing.

Duration: 30 minutes. Best taken: as a course of six.

 

Herbal compress massage (pinda sweda)

Tri-Dosha pummelling massage: therapeutic Ayurvedic herbal powders are crushed in a traditional pestal and mortar and tied into a muslin cloth which forms the medium for this treatment, known in India as a bolus. After warming, oil is applied to the body using the bolus and an Ayurvedic technique known as pummelling. Extremely nourishing, strengthening and rejuvenating, this treatment is great for sports enthusiasts as it addresses problems relating to weak joints and sore muscles.

Good for: stiff joints and pains; arthritis; inflamed muscles; certain skin conditions.

Duration: 60 minutes.

 

Treatments for the mind 


 

Warm oil poured onto the third eye (shirodhara)

Tri-Dosha third eye ‘bliss’ treatment: Warm blended oil is gently poured in a slow rhythmic movement over the forehead vital (marma) point, also known as the third eye. Profoundly relaxing, this treatment works to switch off a chattering mind and induce deep rest for a renewed energy and calm that borders meditation. A facial or foot and leg treatment precedes the shirodhara.

Good for: relaxation; insomnia; tension; stress; chronic colds; vata imbalance.

Duration: 60 minutes.

Detox scrub (udvartana)

Tri-Dosha detox: A treatment that originated in India, this cleansing treatment uses specific ground Ayurvedic herbs which are vigorously rubbed over the body to help draw out impurities and reduce water retention. The natural ingredients also exfoliate, leaving lustre to the skin surface.

 Good for: exfoliation; poor blood circulation; cellulite; kapha imbalance.

Duration: 30 minutes

 

Tri-Dosha facial treatments:

Tri-Dosha holistic glow (skin rejuvenation and wellbeing)

Holistic glow (soundaryam vardhini): Harnessing the power of Tri-Dosha’s pure range of Ayurvedic natural products, made from wild grown medicinal herbs, this is a facial that goes beyond the norm. It starts by cleansing the skin with liberal amounts of Tri-Dosha cleanser. Following this, an Ayurvedic facial massage is carried out to boost energy flow. A soft face scrub, formulated with powerful ingredients kutki and fitkari, is applied while a soothing head massage whisks your stresses away. Next, a face mask of neem and sandalwood is left on to work its magic, relax as a foot and leg massage is provided to ease tired muscles. To finish, a moisturiser is massaged in using circular motions over vital (marma) points, leaving your skin fresh and revitalised.

Good for: reducing signs of ageing; lymphatic drainage; vital (marma) point opening. Suitable for all skin types.

Duration: 60 minutes.

 

Tri-Dosha supreme results (anti-ageing)

Supreme results (shilajita mumiyo): Try this traditional Ayurvedic facial using soft bundles filled with herbs and carefully selected Ayurvedic products. By stimulating vital (marma) points, it will reduce facial tension, tighten and tone the skin and leave you with a bright and nourished complexion. It targets the signs of ageing – combating fine lines and wrinkles – while encouraging super hydrated skin.

Good for: deep cleanse; revitalising the skin
