Living Ayurveda for Health & Harmony – Session 2
Ayurveda and nutrition: Sattvic, Rajasic & Tamasic Food. We are what we eat. While Western medicine focuses primarily on nurturing the physical body, we know that mental and emotional health are equally, if not more important. In Ayurvedic belief, the food we eat profoundly impacts both the mind and emotions.
During this session we will explore the three gunas: Sattva (tranquil or subtle energy), Rajas (active energy) and Tamas (inertia or dullness) and explain how fresh foods and herbs can help keep the gunas nourished, while also rebalancing wayward doshas. There will be simple tips for bringing time-tested Ayurvedic herbs and spices like ashwagandha, turmeric and many others into our daily lives to enhance immunity and optimise our well-being.
1 x 80-minute session
